Berks  CRL1985
[15]***The Berks have arrived, they are everywhere, protected by their ever faithful homing Drones, which cannot be destroyed (only stunned temporarily). Your mission - clear territory of the mindless Berks using your expanding Terror Tank. The number of Berks left to be destroyed is indicated in the top, right hand corner of the screen, each is harder to clear than the last. Keep an eye on your energy level, this can only be replenished after a territory has been cleared - How long can you survive?

Berks 3: They're Angry!  CRL1985
[15]***Using your quick fire terror tank you must penetrate the City of the Berks and collect 21 keys, all of which are entombed in heavy building blocks. Once these have been collected, you gain access to the Inner Sanctum. Your task goes on - blasting your way to 4 more keys you may enter the Heart of the Inner Sanctum. Once inside, 10 more keys must be collected before you gain entry into the Berks' Sacred Treasure Chamber. This treasure must be recovered before you can complete your task.
The Berks are after you - the Drones are after you - even the protective blocks will destroy you on impact. You are given 5 lives, you can gain extra lives up to a maximum of 9, by recovering the hearts scattered around the city.

Big Mac: The Mad Maintenance Man  Mastertronic1985The back story of Big Mac: The Mad Maintenance Man is that you are a secret agent, and you have to infiltrate a power station and shut it down.
The game didn't scroll and this made each concecutive screen really fast. You had to make Big Mac run across the screen as fast as possible, but then slow down to avoid being crushed by traps.
Success would allow you to shut down part of the power station and move onto an even more intense level.
The game got harder and harder and I never actually finished it before my poor Commodore 16 bit the dust.
I did love it though. I played it so much that I memorised the game music and still remember it today!
I also picked Big Mac as my handle when I was writing in a newspaper forum. I've kept the nickname and still use it today. Thanks for the program Mastertronic. I had many good hours of fun playing it (and getting squished by th traps)
If you like this game then look for "Mr Puniverse". That game is the sequel to Big Mac. It should have been called something like Big Mac 2, but I think Mastertronic were influenced by a feature on Noel Edmunds House Party (a popular BBC TV program in the UK when the game was released.)

Major Blink: Berks 2  CRL;Armati (Armati)1985Major Blink, the creator of the Berks, has now turned his hand to a less hazardous existence. Since all his Berks have been destroyed he has to scrape a living as a painter. But, being a painter is not a pleasant pastime for the Major and he is constantly harassed by supercool, colour blind bears who try at all costs to repaint his work.
Blink has also become an outcast of his own kind who have sent the amazing homing Drones to seek out and destroy the Major as an act of revenge. You, as the timid Major, have only your trusty pair of fast action, high velocity, belt-mounted laser canons to protect yourself with. The top section of the screen (the Red Zone) is a safe area, and when you enter this zone no more bears will descend.
Good luck and happy painting!
